What we are, and what we are not.
If you are about to send us money or your supplier data, you deserve to know who is on the other side. This page exists so you can decide with facts instead of vibes.
What we are
A small independent shop in Barcelona that builds desks on top of official public registers. Not a reseller of someone else's dataset and not a content site: each desk reads a named register — the European Commission's JRC forest maps, the EU industrial emissions register, city open-data portals — and turns it into one question you can ask and one answer you can file.
We have no outside investors, no sales team and no call centre. The same people who build the tools answer the email. That is a limitation and a feature: you will never be handed off.
What we are not
Not a law firm
We do not give legal advice and we cannot make you compliant with anything. We do the heavy, automatable part — screening and evidence — and we say plainly where our reports stop.
Not a certification body
No badge we print has legal value. What has value is the underlying dataset, the date it was read and the method, and all three are printed on every report.
Not an AI content farm
No page here is filler written to catch a search. If a number appears, it comes from a register we name. If we do not have the data, the page says so.
Not free forever, and honest about it
The checkers are genuinely free and always will be. The paid work is the volume, the retention and the paperwork. We would rather tell you that up front than bait you.
How we make money
Two ways, both visible: subscriptions and one-off reports on the compliance desks (prices are published, no sales calls), and pay-per-use tools on marketplaces like Apify, Shopify and Atlassian, where the platform bills you and takes its cut. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads and we take no commission from anyone we mention.

Also useful: our privacy page is unusually short because the site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking — we even host the typefaces ourselves instead of calling a font CDN. The only outside calls are the public APIs a checker queries when it runs. You can confirm all of it in your browser's network tab.
What happens when you write
You get a reply from info@prometheus-agency.com the same business day, written by a person who read your message. If we cannot help, we say so and point you somewhere that can.
