What it does

Answers brings team Q&A to Confluence with one promise the legacy apps never kept: your questions actually show up in Confluence search. Every question is stored as native Confluence content and gets an auto-synced native page, so solved questions become searchable knowledge-base articles.

Getting started

1. Install Answers from the Atlassian Marketplace.
2. In Confluence, open Apps → Answers.
3. Click Ask a question: title, optional details, a space and tags.
4. Teammates answer, vote (▲) and the question author accepts the best answer (✓).

Key features

• Native search visibility — each question creates a native page; accepting an answer updates that page automatically.
• Votes, accepted answers & tags — Stack-Overflow-style signal.
• Macro — type /answers in any page editor to embed a panel of recent questions.
• Export — one click downloads all questions and answers as CSV.
• Import — upload the JSON from Questions for Confluence Server/DC (GET /rest/questions/1.0/question?limit=500) or a CSV exported from Answers.
• English & Spanish UI, following each user's language.

Your data

Questions and answers are native Confluence content: they respect space permissions, are reachable via Confluence's own REST API (custom content), and never leave Atlassian's cloud. Answers runs entirely on Atlassian (no external servers, no data egress).
